As the waves lap gently at your feet
I clench arid soil in my palms
Unmoved by the sense of heat
Whilst the earth moves with you
Just slightly to your right
I am
Left for dead at the guilotine edge
Guilty
Dark crevaces, sweat and sin
The observes intruding through
Altogether through an oversized window
Pain
Oily skin, petruding hair, an uncomfortable fire
Belly aches
Aches
And Aches
