Oh the dust seeping in
The opium of my sin
Where will it begin
I am locking out
But cannot get in
They already have
Listen closely you can hear them jeer
Dark, contrived, alive
If you look too closely to the light, it will bind you
How does it feel?
How does it feel to be encompassed by the light?
Does it hurt?
Does it bring you joy?
Do you know either of these feelings?
Do any of us?
At this age we most likely don’t
Or we have felt it before but have forgotten it
To those that feel it now…..
Embrace it
Emancipate it
For it will emancipate you.
Remember to look up emancipate in the dictionary to see if it defines you.
Can anything truly define you?
All of the work is done here
It is up to you
We are left high and dry.
Sorry.
We will never kiss the sky.
