Community Analysis 1

Despite its currently small size (20 members) the Somewhere Else community is exhibiting many of the expected properties of natural systems. Most interestingly, the distribution of numbers of articles against number of members who have posted that number of articles is following a traditional power law relationship:

This is also referred to as the 20:80 rule of thumb - Whereby within a given community 20% of the mebers of a community produce 80% of the communities output. This ratio also exists within itself, as evidenced by the Somewhere Else community - Within the 20% there is another 20:80 divide.
